WOW! My gifter went all out- I received such an amazing box of goodies from Minnesota!!
I opened the box and the first thing that hit me was a very strong cinnamon smell! My husband was working from home and he spun around and asked what the smell was. It was that strong! It was chunky cinnamon bread from a local store – as well as a pan of brownies from Cub as well! We enjoyed the treats that night at dinner. Everyone loved them.!
Then I saw a box of chocolates! OHHHH..I love chocolates. I had to pause and eat one (note the missing candy in photo!) before I continued with the rest of the box. WONDERFUL chocolates! Then I saw MORE- toffee and chocolate covered coffee bean and a very fun Minnesota coffee mug from Caribou! I love moose and it was fun to see the little dude on that coffee cup! I did not realize that Caribou had stores out that way that sold other things as well as coffee. I am familiar with Caribou as I buy their kcups here!!
Steve – (big gray dude in photos) helped me unpack more! He was very interested in the stress potato- super fun! I left that on the table and everyone was asking why I had a potato on the table at dinner- it looks so real!
I was also given a large travel book on the area as well as a variety of maps and brochures. I thought it was fun to learn that everyone in my gifters hometown lives within walking distance of a park. That sounds like my kind of place! I also received postcards- one of the Minneapolis skyline- another depicting iconic Minnesota things, and then a postcard of Lake Superior agates as well as a rock from Lake Superior. LOVE IT!!! Looking at the photo of all the agates- I have the urge to get in my car and come rock hunting! The note you included was wonderful- I felt like I took a tour with you!
I was in Minneapolis/St Paul back in 1987! My dad and my brother make bookmobiles and we drove out a bookmobile to be delivered to the city. What a crazy road trip – the bookmobile was HUGE. It was a brief visit- and my dad has since passed but this brought back such happy memories.
I cannot thank you enough for all the thought and effort you put into this. This was such a generous gift and so perfect for me!
