I was so psyched when I saw that my gift was coming from Turkey - it's a country I am very curious about, so I was very excited to see what they had selected for my birthday gifts. The gifts were all wrapped in lovely wrapping papers, so I even got the joy of unwrapping them!
There was this cute bee plushie, as a nod to the meaning of my gifter's name! Then there was this cute Istanbul notebook - I love notebooks, so this is perfect. It's a good format as well, perfect for both work and personal use. I am also very happy about the cookbook - I love that it goes beyond simple recipes, but also explains the culture around eating, like table manners, and it's so interesting to find out these cultural differences and similarities when it comes to food! There were two amazing bookmarks (they are so gorgeous) and some lovely stickers. And then my two favourite parts: I like traditional folk dances, I find it fun to learn them, so my gifter included the scarf and hand percussions I would need to do some Turkish belly dance!! I went on a rabbit hole today learning about the dance, I might even try it at some point (when I will be alone at home, with nobody around). I do ballet, and in the winter, it is tough for my leg muscles to warm up. I've been meaning to get myself some leg warmers, and had mentioned that as a gift idea - and they delivered! These are the cutest leg warmers, they will be perfect. I love their colour and design, it is gorgeous, and the quality of the wool and the knitting are amazing.
Thanks a million dear gifter, I love it all, you've made an excellent selection :)
