This is my first year doing SS and I can't lie, I was disappointed at first. But my rematch Santa completely changed that, and it's not just the gifts themselves, but the care they took into finding out about me and reaching out.

My rematch SS found out I was moving and reached out to make sure my address wouldn't change, and then reached out to give me a heads-up that the package was coming. I checked my door several times today, full of anticipation.

Behold! Husband finally brings in a box! What's in it?! My cats can't wait to see (so that they can steal the box, ofc).

First, I see bubble wrap - which will happily be reused to pack up some fragile items for my move (this was not part of the actual gift, but appreciated anyway, as I needed some lol).

Beneath is a pile of gold - chocolate, that is. Among the pile are gelt, with a note from SS mentioning that they saw a menorah in one of my posts. This was actually very touching, we light the menorah as a tribute to my step-dad, who celebrated Chanukah and passed away from cancer two years ago.

Further into the box we go! A package, addressed to my fur-babies. Treats! Yummy! They got some after dinner tonight. Ashe decided that the paper was his favorite part.

Continuing on.. what's this? A book?! A book! Surprisingly, my husband said that he wanted to also get me a book like that, and was on a wait list for restock. I do have depression, and had been considering tracking my mental health this year, so this book feels like a positive sign to try it. I plan to start by writing out goals that will challenge me but that I believe are attainable. Thank you for something so thoughtful and useful!

Next, something squishy.. gummy bears! I have been debating about buying gummy bears for the last couple days but held off. What a treat! My husband also appreciates them (that was his after dinner treat lol). And.. more snacks! Yummy fruit snacks! I actually like the Welch brand fruit gummy snacks, so I was very pleasantly surprised to see them. These will be a good snack to keep in the locker at work!

And last, but not least, an envelope marked "open last." The card is beautiful, I'm already planning to display it on my bookcase when we set everything up after we move. I'm reading and.. What? WHAT?! I can't even believe what I'm reading! My poor husband's arm is going to bruise from all of my excited slapping. I've been staring at the tickets online, unable to buy them, for a month. I'm beyond excited - this is the concert I want to go to with my mom and SS just made that possible! This will be the first concert I go to with my mom, and I'm so grateful for that opportunity to share that with her. You hope it works for me?! Are you CRAZY?! I'm so beyond stoked and I'm so grateful!

Rematch SS, thank you. I'm not sure I can really express it, but you really made my whole experience just flip around.
