I was an avid RedditGifter and was so sad to see it end. Thankfully I discovered Givin Gifts to replace the gaping hole in my life that RedditGifts left!

I am a proud Minnesotan but live in Washington, D.C. and work in international public health as an HIV epidemiologist. During pre-COVID times I traveled internationally frequently for both work and fun. Work travel has really picked back up this year, but I have yet to travel for fun.

I'm a huge fan of anything related to houseplants - I love feeling like I'm in a jungle and being surrounded by greenery. I'm a pretty creative/crafty person and love making things with my Cricut and discovering new crafts/DIY projects. I've recently been wanting to try my hand at watercolors. Puzzles (750+ pieces) and board games (Pandemic and Carcassonne are two of my current favs) bring me a lot of joy and I'm always looking for new games to play (feel free to ask me what I already have!). My favorite color is green! I love everything related to the ocean, but especially scuba diving - it's such a magical world underwater. I enjoy cooking and recently moved into a new apartment with a much larger kitchen, which I'm loving! I love tea and hate coffee. I also love a good cheese/charcuterie board and wine. I am a HUGE Schitt's Creek fan and just finished re-watching the entire series for the 5th time. I really like random little things with funny or witty sayings and motivational quotes.

Hobbies: Collecting & caring for houseplants, jigsaw puzzles, creative/artsy stuff (adult coloring books, cross-stitching, painting, "diamond" painting), hiking/outdoor stuff, scuba diving, reading, cooking, travel, photography (have a DSLR but recently bought an Instax Mini 90 for fun), cycling and running, journaling.

My favorite series are Harry Potter and Game of Thrones; current favorite authors are Agatha Christie, Liane Moriarty, Celeste Ng, and Jon Krakauer. I tend to gravitate towards mystery books, action & adventure, fantasy, suspense & psychological thrillers, and historical fiction. Some of my all-time favorite books are All the Light We Cannot See, The Handmaids Tale, Free Country (so hilarious and good!), Pachinko, and The 100-Year-Old Man who Climbed out the Window and Disappeared. Currently reading Murakami's Kafka on the Shore.
