If there were a bingo card of things I'd like out of a RedditGifts exchange, this one would literally just mark every single square.

When I opened the box the first thing I saw was a hand-wrapped gift and a card, which got me really excited. (I said, quote, "Oooo.")

Digging in, the first item I unwrapped was some homemade gingerbread cookies. Now, I'm normally not a huge fan of sweets, but I actually LOVE gingerbread. I didn't tell my Santa this; they just intuited this. While my partner descended on the cookies (they did not last long), I pulled out the next package, which was an owl pellet kit.

I LOVE OWL PELLETS. Oh my gosh, the memories. I remember getting an owl pellet kit when I was maybe 7 or 8 years old, and it was one of the things that put me on the path to becoming a biologist... again, not something I told my Santa, but such a fun, nostalgic, exciting gift to receive!

("Is that candy?" asked my partner. Fortunately, there was also a small bag of sweets, approximately the same size as the bag of owl pellets. We were careful not to confuse them.)

Dayenu, it would have been enough, but the card, cookies, treats, and owl pellets were all leading up to the biggest gift of them all. At the bottom was a wooden wine box with a bottle of red. I did mention to my Santa that I'm Dionysian and they got a box decorated with grape emblems; it's absolutely gorgeous. And it arrived on the third and final day of Dionysia, which is PERFECT! (Also we were totally out of wine.)

I can honestly saw my jaw dropped when I saw the wine box. It's a gorgeous piece that I will absolutely put on prominent display in my home.

This is one of the most thoughtful gifts I've gotten on RedditGifts and it's such a high note to go out on. I am really moved by the generosity. Thank you so much, Santa. I could not have asked for anything more. You made my holiday really special and it meant the world after a really rough month. Thank you again!
