I’m an occupational therapist and work with folks with disabilities or physical/mental health challenges of all ages, birth to elderly, to improve their independence and quality of life. I just moved to small-town Haines, Alaska, to work rurally due to the high area of need, and to also try to achieve a better work-life balance for myself. I have a 2-year-old female cat named Basil. I am trying to get outside more and restart the art projects I’ve loved in the past again, as my last several years have been consumed by both graduate school and the start of my career. I have really enjoyed kayaking, hiking, photography, art journaling, watercolors, alcohol-ink marker coloring, linocutting/block printing, and playing “cozy” games on my Nintendo switch. I am finally trying to build a life of my own that I can love, even if it’s slowly and one day at a time.
