Our home: A little over three years ago we sold our house in the 'burbs and moved to an industrial loft with a view of the Dallas skyline. Loft style living has certainly agreed with us, but the wide open space and lack of spare rooms for storage has caused me to have learn to use organizational tools to keep things stowed and in their place. We live in an industrial loft that was originally the Sears & Roebuck building built in the early 1900's. We try to decorate to honor the history of the loft with craftsman/mission style and mid-century decor. We are fortunate to have a corner on the building with great views, lots of windows but little/no actual wall space to display pictures and photos. Colors: We tend to decorate with Earth tones and a pop of red or teal.

At work: I am a middle school administrator... our school colors are red and black and we are the Panthers. I cannot live without my coffee and decorate my office with snarky comments and inspirational quotes. I love everything Harry Potter and have been sorted to Slytherin house. My office is pretty eclectic and fun with keepsakes and quotes on the shelves and lots of color and bling.

I am an avid reader and couldn't live without my kindle. If I'm not relaxing with a good book, cooking is how I relax and decompress after a long day at work. I pride myself in having excellent cooking tools from my pans to my knives. I always uses silicone tools in my pans (they are red) and I tend to accessorize my kitchen with red small appliances when possible. I'm always excited to try new tools and small appliances, but stray away for things that are single use... like a garlic press or breakfast sandwich maker (long story).
