Hi, I’m Essie! I’m a 22 year old educator and lifelong nerd girl. I live in the (part that is too cold for my taste) Midwest with my husband Pete and my poodle, Moss. I have a severe cat allergy, so please be conscious of this if I’m your giftee for any exchanges! I love crafting! I needlefelt, sew, do leatherwork, paint with watercolor, and do a lot of DIY home decor. I have always wanted to try crocheting, too, but I haven’t pulled the trigger on that hobby just yet!

I also enjoy anime and manga. Some of my favorites include Sailor Moon, CardCaptor Sakura, Spy x Family, Dr. Stone, FullMetal Alchemist, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. I also adore all things Studio Ghibli, Junji Ito, and Pokémon (quite a mix, I know 😅).

As far as reading goes, I enjoy science fiction and fantasy, specifically alternate history and post-apocalypse adventures. I love reading about scenarios that make you reframe your own perspective. I also enjoy books that fall into the self-help category on topics like organization, self-reflection, self-improvement, etc!

I do play video games, with the Nintendo Switch being my favorite platform at the moment. I am getting a gaming PC setup for the holidays too though! Some of my favorite games include Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing, Kirby 64, Borderlands, Portal, and Splatoon 3.
