My Gifter has sent me this awesome shirt from one of my favourite ever anime series in my favourite colour!
Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou is that anime from 2017 that everyone remembers for the two main characters dabbing during the title sequence, but the content matter is not quite that cheerful.
It's a sad tale of the world ending, but it's an emotional story that keeps drilling into you the importance of remaining positive, no matter how desperate things get. Chito and Yuuri ask each other questions that engage the viewer and make them think, while they bounce around thoughts to these philosophical musings. The pacing of both the characters and the music is incredibly slow.
This one really gives ourselves the time to relax, reflect, unwind, think, laugh and cry. I made a video on this, but definitely want to remake it some time, as I could go into so much detail, and talk for hours.
But this show was the first Blu-Ray I ever owned, so yeah, it's definitely fair to say it's special to me.
