A taste and a tour of Portland, OR

I received such a lovely peek into my extraordinary gifters hometown: Portland, Oregon!

First, I received two bags of Stumptown Coffee: their flagship hand roasted Hairbender beans and their Homestead light roast. Trying locally-roasted beans is one of my favorite things and of course Stumptown is known around the world for its spectacular coffee. I've always wanted to try it and now I get to! I am so grateful that my Hometown gifter shared this delicious part of Portland's famous coffee culture with me. (I also sent local coffee to my Hometown giftee; great minds think alike!!)

Then, in the mail, I received a thick envelope with lots of cool stamps, adorably decorated with bird stickers (I love birds!). Inside I found a lovely card and note from my gifter and a bunch of postcards offering a tour of Portland past and present. I got a view of the city at sunset, a collage of highlights, the city skyline with Mount Hood in the background, a historic view of Portland Harbor with seaplanes, a historic view of the Broadway Bridge, the rare book room at Powell's City of Books, and Old Town Portland Oregon neon sign, the interior of the forestry building at the Lewis and Clark Memorial, historic Multnomah Stadium, a pretty Hello from Portland postcard and a cool stylized bicycle.

Last but not least, each in their cute little envelopes sealed with sunflower stickers, I got a cool Portland mini button and a Portland stretched penny.
