RaeubermamaJan 5, 2024Finally, my Happy Holidays-parcel arrived here after some problems with DHL that first sent the parcel back to the Netherlands without any reason. And oh my, the wait was worth it!
My Santa put so, so much effort and time and thoughts into my gift. I'm completely overwhelmed. Just look, how lovely everything was wrapped.
She wrote me quite early and we have exchanged a few messages since then. Although the information text about me and my likes is extremely long, my Santa read it carefully and paid attention to many wishes.
I was impressed by her letter and her lists in which she told me about her favourite spots, museums, must-sees in and around Amsterdam. These lists and also all the flyers and maps really made me want to visit Amsterdam again (at least some day).
We receiced three sweet little finger puppets, a couloring book, sweets, etc that refer to Sinterklaas. I also really, really like the keychains we got. The wooden clogs are so cute and the bicycle is very pretty. My Santa wrote that the clogs and the long blue keychain are from the Dutch military police. One of my favourite Amsterdam souvenirs is the Christmas ornament. It's so beautiful!
I'm also looking forward to share the famous stroop wafels with my kids.
My Santa also sent us two wonderful notebooks that we can use very well.
But now my two highlights: since I read Anne Frank's diaries for the first time about thirty years ago, I am a huge admirer of her, read books and watched movies about her and also visited the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam in 2014, when I was pregnant with my oldest son. I didn't buy anything there and now my Santa gifted us two wonderful things. I got a bag from the Anne Frank huis. I have quite a collection of bags and this one is really special to me. And what is even more impressing is that I received a high-quality diary that looks very similar to Anne's first diary! Oh, I love it so, so much!!!
My Santa could have not done it any better. Ontzettend bedankt!
