I haven't had the best experiences with past exchanges. More often I was left without getting a gift. So my gifter made sure that wouldn't happen this time. She actually messaged to get to know more about my interests because she said she loved to personalize her gifts which was so awesome! I was vague with my descriptions because basically I would honestly be happy to have received anything. But she was genuinely interested in curating gifts that I would like.
I received the packages and when I opened the box it was in she certainly did give personal touches! I'm really into photography and she made little cutouts of cameras as decorations! I love the office and game of thrones and she drew the logos on the gifts she wrapped! I know that must have taken a bit of time so I'm so appreciative of that! Initially I wanted to wait til Christmas since these would probably be my only presents I get. I had them under my small tree but I just couldn't resist lol. I opened my packages up and they were all camera related which was so great! I can actually put these to use. Sensor cleaning is really expensive if you go to a shop so she got me a cleaning kit for me to use! Also I lose lens caps all the time and she got me clips to keep them in place on my lenses. I received a pair of gloves as well which have cutouts for your thumb and index finger to control your camera outdoors! I so needed these! Also to help keep me warm when shooting photos outdoors in the pnw a nice Lens mug hahaha. I've actually given a few of these as gifts to others but never had one for myself. Such a good gift! Since I'll have nothing to open Christmas Day anymore I was a little bummed but I'm very happy to put these gifts to use right away.
What was really heartwarming was the personalized card :) It was a game of thrones themed card where when you opened it a dragon pops up hahahaha. Loved the greeting and getting to know a little bit about her. Out of all the exchanges I've participated in this was the most touching and I'm so happy to have been the giftee for this amazing person. Whoever she gets next exchange will be in for a great treat. Thank you so much and Merry Christmas!!!!
