I got the most amazing box of goodies from Minnesota from my gifter!

First thing I noticed was the wild rice. I have been meaning to try my hand at a wild rice soup. However, my gifter gave me a good idea to try it in hotdish instead. There's plenty of rice for both, so why not?

Second, I LOVE licorice, and Wiley Wallaby is probably one of my favorite brands out there. Did not know that they were out of Minnesota. And classic red is quite delightful!

Now, I enjoy Pearson's quite a bit, yet did not know they were out of the Twin Cities, either. (The more you know, an I right?) Pearson's to me has always been my jam for pecan or nut rolls, but I've never seen a Nut Goodie before now. I got two and tried one. Pretty good!

Old Dutch chips I'd heard of vaguely, but I've never tried them. Planning on doing that now. Dill pickle chips are probably the best thing since sliced bread when it comes to my savory snacks hierarchy. (And gifter, I agree that Lay's dill pickle chips aren't anything spectacular.) I have a bag of Utz dill pickle I'm noshing on through this week. Wanna see if Old Dutch can yank the tastiness crown off the head of my state's contribution to dill pickle chips. (Old Dutch gets a brownie point already for not being wavy.)

My gifter also enclosed a lovely cutout of the state of Minnesota going over the contents and a recipe for hotdish, both of which are quite lovely!

Gifter, you did spectacularly well! Thank you!
