I'm home sick from work today, so this package was a nice surprise. The first thing I grabbed out of the box was the snacks - they're soy sauce-flavored koizumi rice crackers from Japan, and they're definitely not something I can get in my neck of the woods. (Pretty tasty too.) Next was the pen holder - very classy, and also loaded with a whole bunch of cartridges! The pile of Midori MD paper is quite the treat, and I definitely look forward to using those.
The most extraordinary part of the gift, though, is the ink sampler packaged in 8 little vials. Unfortunately, some lost some ink in shipping (my Santa packed enough paper towels to ensure nothing touched the rest of the gift), but I do have at least half of most of them. All are new to me, and I'm looking forward to trying them out!
Finally, the letter was written with great care on very nice paper, gave a key for the ink sampler, and included an excellent poem by John Keats. (I do enjoy Keats, so this was a fine bonus.)
Thank you Santa!
