I received a notice in my email this morning around 10 a.m. that my snack Santa had shipped my gift. I checked the tracking info and learned two very important things:
- My gift was coming from Wisconsin.
- It was already at my front door.
"Could there be cheese in it?" I asked myself. "I hope there's cheese in it." Because I love cheese and everyone knows that the best cheese in the US (world?) comes from Wisconsin.
I took an early lunch and rushed home to rescue my box from the heat. What should await me on my front step but a box with a big "perishable" sticker on it. I of course tore into it immediately. Lo and behold:
Cheese!
Four different kinds of cheese at that. I had mentioned that I like herby snacks and Santa sent some cheeses with some of my favorite herbs: pesto, rosemary, and the one I am looking forward to trying the most, truffle. Maybe I'll even let my husband have some, if he's nice.
