I recently left lovely Scotland and moved to the Netherlands. I mentioned that I really miss the Scottish landscape, hiking in the weekends, just being out and about and that moving to the flat lands is quite a change for me.
My Santa send me the most thoughtful gift, wrapped in very fluffy fabric so I could not even guess what was inside despite lifting the parcel up every day, waiting for Christmas eve.
At the top I found a lovely postcard with bikes in the snow. Yes, I'm cycling an awful lot, though it looks like we won't have any snow this year. Then a book with hiking routes in the Netherlands and picknic recipes. This is perfect! I will certainly use it, both for preparing hiking food and for hiking those routes! I'm sure this book will get me outside more and to explore this wee country.
Then: A Scottish flat. Awww, thanks Dear Santa :) This really brought a little tear into my eye. I was so busy moving that I forgot to actually buy a small Scottish flag. You could not have known, but this is so brilliant! And finally, as I love the cosiness of my livingroom, and burning candles: three beautiful looking rustic candles in lovely colours.
Thanks a lot Dear Santa. This is such a thoughtful gift. Thanks again <hugs>
