Hi there! I'm a professor at an academic medical center by day, and a fitness geek/home chef/arts and crafts maven by night. I participated in Reddit Gifts for a few years, and am excited to continue sending thoughtful gifts even though the Reddit platform is no longer. What I love most about sending and receiving gifts is the feeling of being thoughtful - I always do my best to pick out something that I think will give the other person warm fuzzies, and I love to write letters, so my giftee can expect to get one of those, too :) I'm a very DIY-oriented person, and most of my hobbies revolve around making stuff. In the kitchen, I cook, bake, and brew beer. In my garage, I build simple furniture and paint things. In our office, I draw, sew, crochet, and embroider. I love being able to transform scraps or unused objects into something that will have a purpose and a whole new life. I'm also a tad neurotic, which I handle by trying to stay neat and organized, and engaging in fun and calming things. I'm very anti-clutter and anti-knick-knack, and very pro-to-do-list. I keep a daily journal and frequently write as a form of self-expression. I love trying new things and revisiting familiar ones pretty much equally, and I have a soft spot for trashy TV.
