I love culture and learning about cultural differences

I do watercolor, so paper (300lb weight) or a book would be great. I have way more than enough paint and brushes.

I love SpaceX. Anything SpaceX (except clothes). Very much into shots of rocket launches (I've been to two in Cape Canaveral FL). Love astrophotography, and photos of rocket launches.

I’m also really into Mars, as in exploration, figuring out how we’ll get & live there.

I like white chocolate, and toffee/caramel.

Smells: I like pine, grapefruit, orange, and gardenia (not all together though!)

Star-gazing, I’ve seen shooting stars/showers, the northern lights, Halley’s Comet. Last year I went to a Dark Skies Park in Ireland (Kerry Dark Skies Reserve), where I got to see SO MANY STARS! It was almost difficult to make out the constellations, there were so many. Unfortunately, where I am, there is so much light pollution that it is hard to see more than basic constellations.

I also love sci-fi (books, movies). Favorite show of all time is Babylon 5. Favorite books are the Red Mars series by Kim Stanley Robinson, and I’d say Ender’s Game. I teach culture and communication at a local college—I’m always interested in cultural similarities & differences, whether between humans or aliens.

What I already have: Space Barons Book, the SpaceX Liftoff book, The Red Mars trilogy, a Mars plushy, the sparkly stuffed dinosaur that was up on the International Space Station, a telescope.

Oh, and I always wait until Christmas to open my SS gifts. I love the anticipation and seeing them under the tree. :-)
