Hi there! I'm Isabel, a 23-year-old living in Antwerp, Belgium. I'm an anesthesiology resident by day and an aspiring chef by night. I'm also the proudest mom of a Siberian kitten named Aslan. I'm passionate about vegetarian cooking, and love to experiment with flavors and ingredients. My culinary adventures are often inspired by my love for travel, where I try to bring back unique herbs and spives from every journey. On my free nights, you'll often find me engaged in intense board game battles with my Turkish boyfriend, Cem. We enjoy the (not-always-so) friendly competition during a game of Carcasonne, Machiavelli or Phase 10. Every month or so I host a middle eastern feast for friends or family where I bring out my special green Royal Tudor tableware. On the flip side, I cherish the quieter evenings, curled up on the couch with a soothing cup of specially selected infusion tea in one hand and Aslan, my kitty on the other.
