Hello! I am Amanda. I will probably tell you too much here but I am incredibly wordy so, more is better in this situation anyway, right?

I am 36, female, she/her, no kids, 2 cats Agnes and Elliott), and currently doing the 2022 version of Ross and Rachel (will they? Won’t they? We’re on a break!). I am a hospice social worker who is going back to school for my second Masters, this time in Healthcare Administration. I’m so tired of seeing things run poorly. I’m channeling the young me who wasn’t jaded and plan on changing the world.

Because I’m in hospice and because of my own experiences with loss, I am fascinated by cultural responses to/views on death and dying. The girl who does the Ask a Mortician videos has some hilarious books on death and funerals and stuff (which I own so that’s not a hint lol). I highly recommend them. I’d also totally love to run a funeral home one day so I can help people have a service without going in to debt. Super weird I know, but I am who I am!

I am a hobby hopper. Calligraphy, letter writing, wax seals, crochet, cross point, adult coloring books, Diamond dot paintings, rock tumbling, lapidary. I will try anything once!

I love true crime, Law and Order SVU (hence my cats name Elliott), SNL, and football (ECU Pirates, Michigan Wolverines, and the goddamn New York Jets).

I am the worlds biggest John Goodman fan and after changing the world and cuddling a baby panda, going bowling with him is third on my bucket list. The man is perfection.

I am happy with gifts that reflect thought. Meaning and sentiment is more important than cost. I appreciate handmade things and recognize their value because it takes time to create!
