Hi! My name is Melissa. After living in several countries abroad, my husband and I settled in a tiny village in the Netherlands. In 2020 we bought a 100-year-old fixer-upper which we gave a lot of love and attention. Four years in, we are finally nearly done! But are you ever really finished with your to-do list as a home owner?

In our garden we created a large vegetable pad and we also have a small greenhouse. It feels so great to eat stuff directly from your own garden! We also have plenty of plants and flowers to improve the biodiversity. Our garden is really buzzing!

I'm a 90s kid. I'm quite active, love running, yoga and bootcamp training sessions, as well as hiking, especially when I'm abroad. And I also love food, especially Italian food. So basically I'm working out so I can eat more! Actually love all things Italian, it's my favorite travel destination.

I'm a big fan of gift exchanges! I welcome all gifts, including pre-owned/secondhand, as long as it is hygienic. Homemade, even better! It really is the thought that counts, not the amount of money you spend on it.
