Hi! I'm so excited to find a community that's similar to Reddit Gifts. I was just thinking about how that final Reddit Secret Santa was such a great memory for me and my family. The day my gift was delivered was such a rough day. My 12-year-old pup Remi had declined so quickly, and that day, we had a vet come out to our home to put him down. After he passed, we were all beside ourselves with grief and preparing him to be taken away by the vet. Several packages were delivered from my Secret Santa. After the vet took our Remi away, the house felt so weird and empty. That gift from my Secret Santa gave us all the distraction we needed. There were six boxes of books, chocolates, homemade candles, a walking stick for hiking, a kit to make a ukelele, etc. I'll never forget how, even though my secret Santa could have never known how they helped us, they did so much for three broken-hearted people.
