I'm a 41 year-old Chinese-American male living in Atlanta, GA who has too many hobbies (and definitely too many backpacks). I enjoy hiking, reading, playing the piano (they'd have revoked my Asian card if I didn't have this skill!), and have recently gotten into DIY work around the house.

I am definitely a function over form and quality over quantity type of person, and enjoy finding unique, yet tasteful items that not many people know about.

I recently completed taking a European walnut butcher block countertop (for a desktop for a sit/stand desk), staining it, and finishing it. It was really rewarding to accomplish something I had been wanting to do for a long time.

I'm the kind of guy who likes new takes on old things. Case in point: I recently acquired an e-ink tablet to write notes, draw on, store sheet music, and read books with. So I guess that whole fire thing scarred me and I figure I can take my library with me wherever I am now instead of worrying about physical books burning up or having soot damage!
