I am a 51-year-old mom of 3 (31M, 21M, 13F) plus 1 daughter-in-law (31F), a life partner to my best friend, a small craft business owner with Etsy shops and a website (I make custom, personalized items), secular humanist and liberal AF. She/Her.

I am new to GG but was a very active RG/SS years ago (under an alt Reddit account) and am familiar with the anonymous gifting experience.

Random facts about me: • I am an active follower of politics and I have been an Election Officer for over 10 years. I am a liberal left-leaning Independent voter and I strongly feel everyone should exercise their right and privilege to vote.

• I love to travel and I have lived and traveled quite a bit in other countries. I also love road trips.

• I am very proud of my Scottish heritage and frequently attend regional Highland Games with my Scottish Clan, Clan Douglas.

• I am owned by 2 large and loud German shepherds - one is traditional black & tan (male) and the other is mostly black with some brown on forelegs (female). I am also owned by 2 snooty and entitled cats (one is a dilute tortie and the other is black, both female).

• I love cooking and baking and I have an entire wall of my library dedicated to cookbooks, both modern and vintage. I also have just about every kitchen gadget ever invented.

• I love most candy except for black licorice or sour. Caramel anything is my jam, especially soft caramel and I adore local craft caramels. I am meh about chocolate but find chocolate more acceptable if it's wrapped around a piece of caramel.

• I love live music and my partner and I attend live concerts whenever we can. My music taste is very eclectic and runs the gamut from 90s country to rock to pop to mainstream metal. I was a hairband "groupie" in the 80s.

• I also enjoy standup comedy shows. My current favorite comedians are Fortune Feimster & Vir Das.

• I am a podcast junkie and listen to mostly political or atheist podcasts such as Michael Smerconish, The Friendly Atheist, The Thinking Atheist, Brian Tyler Cohen, and Rachel Maddow.

• I am a secular humanist and believe in giving back to the community so I volunteer a lot, donate to causes that are important to me, and can often be seen participating in various human rights marches in Washington, DC.

• My home decor style is “industrial farmhouse” and the color palette is moody grays, rich browns, and distressed black.

• My partner is a trained Offroad and Overlanding Trail Guide and we enjoy offroading and overlanding together in his fully outfitted Jeep Rubicon JKU with RoofNest and custom-built offroad trailer.

• For clothing styles, I can go from one extreme to another - one day I will be in a frilly feminine blouse and billowing skirt and the next day I will be in ripped jeans and a t-shirt. I like my clothing loose fitting so in women's sizes I am comfortable in XXL and in gender-neutral or men's sizes I usually wear an XL.
