I am a knitter. I also recently started spinning my own yarn. Unfortunately I am a yarn snob and that can get pretty expensive. I do not like 100% acrylic yarn. My advice is to go to yarn.com and look to see what's on sale. You can get some beautiful yarns on sale for much cheaper. One skein of yarn is plenty since I have a stash that I can mix it into. Don't try to figure out what I like. I can take anything and make it work. I keep kosher. Here is a website that lists them all. https://www.crcweb.org/agency_list.php the best place to look for the national kosher symbols is New York and New Jersey. Anything on that list is acceptable. I drive a school bus and I own a lazy senior cat that I am crazy over. I love blues pinks and purples.
