How long have you been using fountain pens?
1 - 2 years.

What do you use your fountain pens for?
To fill out my time journal at work, keeping track of what projects I work on and for how long. Also at home in my journal to make lists of chores. After 20'ish years of fill out my time journal I needed to spice it up with some color. lol

What are you hoping to get out of this exchange?
A personal talent thing: like an origami critter or a quick stick figure (or lovely) sketch with the short Christmas card. A couple ink samples you would like me to try. (filled from one of your bottles of ink), A used pen you don't want anymore with a broad or stub nib (I've never tried either of those! and think it might be good for a shimmer ink). Maybe stick a few pieces of Washi tape on the letter - I'd like to see what it is like.

What are some of your other interests (if not already described in givin.gifts profile)?
I bicycle to work and the rock climbing gym a lot. (well not since the pandemic started but I will get back to that lifestyle I swear). I like a lot of anime- especially work from Coverworks, Kyoto Animation and of course Ghibli. Ummm, I make a mean batch of sauerkraut. LOL. It's true.

Are you interested in receiving pen(s)? If so, preferred nib, material, feedback, weight, etc.? OR What are your favorite pens and what do you like about them? I would Love a pen. Please remember your used pen is NEW to me! I've never tried a broad or stub nib and think it might be really useful for shimmer inks. Which I've also never tried. My favorite pens? the TWSBI-Eco (the size, weight, feel, and flow of a medium nib) and the Jin Hao-51A (I like it's hooded nib and easy cap on/off and it has been a reliable work horse)

Are you interested in receiving ink(s)? If so, preferred colors, desired characteristics like shading/sheen/shimmer, wet/dry, etc.? OR What are your favorite inks and why do you like them?
I would like to try someone else's "favorite" inks to try and get away from my own hang-ups and go to choices. I put favorite in quotation marks because if you're like me a favorite can change hourly or daily or with a faded memory.

Are you interested in receiving paper/notebooks? If so, preferred smoothness, paper size, ruling, weight, hardcover/softcover, binding, etc.?
No, not really. I have too many notebooks I haven't even started writing in yet. BUT you should get joy from giving a gift. Perhaps you have a real passion for paper? Then please send me 1 page of the ones you would like to open my eyes to the joy of your paper knowledge and experience. I have a little Clairefontain notebook but the rest are pretty generic unknowns. Although I like my notebook with sugarcane fiber and lightish green stripes from an office supply store. :)

Are you interested in receiving nibs and/or pen repair supplies? If so, what in particular? I don't think I have enough experience to take best advantage of this gift. Maybe I'm wring and this is the gift of discovery?

Are you interested in receiving stationery accessories, such as pen cases/rolls, notebook covers, pen-themed stickers/decals, ink swatching cards/stamps, etc.? If so, what in particular?
I'm interested if it's something you are making with your own hands. Imperfections appreciated. Your intentions appreciated. Please send it even if "it isn't good enough". Worst case we can share a laugh over the disaster! I refuse to embarrass you over an honest effort.

Some people like to include some bonus candies or sweets in the packages. Do you have any food restrictions or allergies your Santa should be aware of? Gluten Free is the only thing I'm watching out for when it comes to Christmas candy.

Please link any "state of the collection" posts or images below for your Santa so they have an idea of your tastes and to avoid repeats. (Post on your reddit user profile, or on a image host like imgur)
I will learn how to do this. (Now I have to take a picture of my collection!)

Anything you definitely don't want, or already have too many of? (ink colors, pen model, etc.)
No restrictions from me. :)
