Hi! I'm a mid-40's geek/nerd with no signs of that ever changing :) I game on PC and my phone. I love reading, ebooks, physical books and audiobooks. I usually tend towards Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and mysteries. My guilty pleasure that I can't get enough of is pens/pencils/notebooks/post-its. I loved getting new school supplies as a kid and it never went away as an adult. I still take notes by hand so they do get used. They are just fun to get and there are so many cute/nerdy ones out there. I've gone back to school for a Masters in Data Science from CU Boulder. I got my BSc there in person eons ago. Being able to attend my old college but all remote and online is just awesome, I never thought I'd have a chance to continue in a formal education like this. Lately I've picked up hand embroidery which I find very relaxing. I crochet/knit and sew as well. I'm not a master of any of them but I enjoy dabbling and being able to make custom things as gifts. I usually have foster kittens or cats from the local animal shelter. I wish I could say it was all for altruistic reasons but the idea of fostering came from my therapist. Having adorable little fluff balls who look at me like I'm amazing does wonders for my mood! We don't have any children of our own but I've been slowly collecting toys I wish I had had as a kid. Some of my favorites are Lego sets and some of the geeky dolls like Darth Vader & Storm Trooper, Game Developer and Programmer Barbie.
