Profile
I'm a 62-year old wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I teach chemistry, physics, and math. I've been a teacher for 35 years. This year I have a new challenge - math intervention at our middle school. I teach students who are not special ed but struggle in math. I've found that most of my students are terrified of math (kind of like how I feel about the dentist). I am loving my classes. I especially love how I have had success with many of my students this year. I've got 13 grandkids - and my first great-granddaughter was born November 1st. And I'm not that old! I'm a breast cancer survivor. I have Parkinson's, but it's not obvious. I used to run half-marathons, but now I am too lazy. I should probably start again since exercise is really good for me. I love Disney, but they have pretty much priced me out of going to the parks and on Disney cruises, which is really a shame. I wrote a Number 1 Bestselling book during COVID - which was fun and cool! I am extroverted and people tell me that I am funny. I love bubbles, laughter, science toys, wooden toys, and banana laffy taffy, (which means more dentist visits). You can google me but add Arizona or education or teacher, because, although I would like to think I am one-of-a-kind, there are several "Nancy Footes" out there. You'll find out a lot about me by doing that! :)
