Hey!

I’m 39, and very young at heart! - by this I mean I don’t have kids, that I love playing video games (mainly PC, also really into anything Nintendo. Game wise I play anything Zelda, Mario, big into Yoshi as a character, and Animal Crossing.

This year has been a big year of change for me; I quit my 11 year career in the Wine Industry and retrained as a Full-Stack Software Developer! So, I’m into all things tech and spend most of my life sat in front of my PC.

I am OBSESSED with coding and building apps, it’s more than a job to me! So I love anything coding related. My main languages and frameworks are JavaScript, TypeScript and React. My portfolio website: www.goosesquad.co.uk

I have a custom built PC and love to decorate my desk setup with fun gadgets etc. I like to make it as homely as possible as I basically live at my desk 🤪

I used to be a Natural Funeral Director, and I’m still very active in the funeral world, I’m an advocate for death positivity, so I’m into all things death related…as weird as that sounds!

I am a huge animal lover; I used to have a Jardine Parrot called Yoshi, who I absolutely adore but he sadly died earlier this year, I still collect lots of Yoshi/parrot related things to remind me of him. I have just rescued another parrot, Oscar an orange winged Amazon parrot. I also have a gorgeous ginger cat named Goblin.

I usually have really colourful hair, in the winter months I wear mostly black, and then go full pastels in the spring summer months.

I love being in nature, climbing trees, I’m obsessed with birds, and I often rescue and rehabilitate local wildlife.

I like to be the person that brings positivity into the lives of the people around me, and I’m a big sun chaser!

I’m also a classical Indian dancer, I train in an ancient temple dance from South India called Odissi. I’ve been training in India for many years now, usually spending 5-6 weeks every year at my dance school in Rajasthan.

I guess I’d be described as somewhere between a hippy and a goth!

I’m reeeeally into music, all sorts! I love ambient electronic music (Boards Of Canada, Yppah, Tycho, God Is An Astronaut), rock/metal/punk (some current favourites, Converge, Chelsea Wolfe, Drab Majesty, Mr Bungle, Tool), but I also love a lot of indie, and I’m a big Hanson fan!

Generally, a pretty open minded, positive person…but I also have a pretty dark, dry sense of humour!
