• How long have you been using fountain pens?

I received my first fountain pen in 2006, and have largely been using them ever since.

• What do you use your fountain pens for?

Really just about everything, notes, letters, I very rarely use a ballpoint.

•What are you hoping to get out of this exchange?

I really just want to have fun, maybe get an opportunity to discover something new, or help someone else discover something new.

Woodworking, military, dogs, my family

•Are you interested in receiving pen(s)? If so, preferred nib, material, feedback, weight, etc.? OR What are your favorite pens and what do you like about them?

Sure, I have a little bit of everything, and I like them all for their differences. My favorite pen is probably either my Mont Blanc starwalker (fine nib) or my Leonardo MZ (1.1 stub) I do like wet and smooth nibs probably a little more than dry or heavy feedback. I don’t have a red pen, and have been pondering that for a very long time.

•Are you interested in receiving ink(s)? If so, preferred colors, desired characteristics like shading/sheen/shimmer, wet/dry, etc.? OR What are your favorite inks and why do you like them?

Sure, I don’t really like shimmer or heavy sheen, because I’m lefty. My favorites are probably Birmingham inks copper chloride or the Colorverse red rock Arizona

• Are you interested in receiving paper/notebooks? If so, preferred smoothness, paper size, ruling, weight, hardcover/softcover, binding, etc.?

Sure, I have tons of rhodia and clarefontaine paper, and some heavier tomoe river, but I’m always down to try something new!

• Are you interested in receiving nibs and /or pen repair supplies? If so, what in particular?

Probably not, I wouldn’t have much use for it.

• Are you interested in receiving stationery accessories, such as pen cases/rolls, notebook covers, pen-themed stickers/decals, ink swatching cards/stamps, etc.? If so, what in particular?

Sure, I haven’t gotten into a lot of it, I have a rickshaw roll and a bespoke leather case, but I don’t have anything else like that and I’m open to whatever if someone has something fun to share.

• Some people like to include some bonus candies or sweets in the packages. Do you have any food restrictions or allergies your Santa should be aware of?

Nope, I’m easy like that

Probably skip flex nibs, I’m a lefty over writer, so they’re pretty much wasted on me, other than that I’m very open.
