You are encouraged to let loose, be creative, and have fun with these exchanges. Don’t be afraid to be silly or NSWF. I am easily amused and unfettered by taste. Take inspiration from any of my boards on Pinterest. (Just remember it is a collection of random things that spark joy and not a shopping list.) I like Kaiju, zeppelins and giant robots. I work with utilities so watching Godzilla tear down power lines or stomp on a substation brings a special joy to my heart. One of my all-time favorite gifts is a set of Godzilla wind chimes that were given to me by a school friend 25+ years ago. They are hanging up in my office right now. If I had to pick a favorite period in the history of aviation I’d go with the WWI era biplanes. When I hit the lottery I’ll get a pilot license and a replica DR1 to fly. My inner mall ninja is frequently at odds with my desire to keep my collection of sharp and pointy things functional and EDC quality. My all-time favorite comic book is Groo the Wanderer. I have enough wet shaving supplies to last me at least two years. That won’t stop me from getting new soap every now and then to try a new scent. Fountain pens are my preferred writing instrument. I probably have enough fountain pen ink to last the rest of my life. That won’t stop me from picking up a new bottle every now and then to try a new color. When my father died and I was cleaning out his stuff I put all the loose marbles I found into a mason jar that I now keep on my shelf. I have no idea why I did this or felt it necessary to tell you about it. Sometimes I wonder what credentials are required to become an ancient alien theorist and what letters you get to add after your name on a business card. I have a bad habit of picking up free promotional things when they are offered. My stash of keychains, bottle openers, and small note pads is ridiculous. My collection of miniature traffic cones from various utility and engineering conferences is pretty cool though.
