Yesterday, I've received three presents from my Retro-Santa. All three gifts were neatly wrapped in pretty light-blue Christmas wrapping paper. I really appreciate this extra, cause it feels like Birthday or Christmas to open the presents :-)
My Santa read my notes thoughtfully and found things that surprised me, but all fit into my likes.
I got an unusually-sized classic book about Sweden from the year 1973. The texts in there are in Swedish, English and German and you can find a lot of beautiful and interesting photographs in it. My Santa brought it from a trip to Sweden and I think it was a great idea to pass it on to me since I've never been to Sweden and I'm always interested in new countries/towns/regions, ...
I love movies and my Santa sent me a DVD from 1959 with the German-French movie "Die schöne Lügnerin" (The pretty liar) which takes place in 1815. So it's retro in two ways :-) The famous German actress Romy Schneider plays the female lead and although I've seen some other movies with her (I've watched the Sissi-triology countless times), I've never seen this kind of Cinderella-story. I'm really looking forward to watch it with my kids on a cozy winter-afternoon or - evening.
My Santa also combined the Christmas-time with this Retro-exchange and gifted me an acorn-shaped ornament for the Christmas-tree. The copper-coloured style looks awesome in combination with our Christmas-decoration.
The most lovely thing was the cute Christmas card and the kind handwritten letter of my Santa. I like that so, so much <3
Thank you very much, dear Retro-Santa, for making this weekend so special :-)
