There used to be a card shop one town over from me, and once a week (I can't remember which day) was Pokemon day. I'd get my mom to drive me there and she'd drop me off for a couple hours of hanging out with a bunch of Pokemon nerds. This was the late 90s early 2000s. I loved that shop and day so much. We'd battle with our decks and trade our cards. The shop is no longer there. I've since passed my cards on to my nieces and nephews. I'm a little sad about that but at least they were being loved and played rather than just sitting in storage. Now, thanks to my gifter, I can start again! I received a ready-to-play deck starring Noivern V and pack including 3 oversized cards (Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip) and two booster packs. I had a lot of fun opening them.
