Win/Win, a new hobby for me/a reboot for my Santa

I challenged my resolution Santa to come up with an interesting resolution for me, bonus points if they joined in. Shortly after matching I got a message from my gifter asking if I would be interested in building Gundam models as it was a hobby of theirs that wanted to get back into after neglecting it due to work, Covid, and other time constraints.

As a Pacific Rim fan I can't say no to giant robots and today I received several kits and all the tools I'll need to assemble them. Hopefully there is an easy one in there to start with.
