My Kitchen-Santa was very fast with ordering and soon after they have reached out to me (what I like a lot), the first gift arrived. We got a lovely recipe book "Recipes from Mama" with lots of space for writing down our favourite recipes. I think, it will be a mixture of traditional family recipes and newer recipes that we like a lot. My Santa has chosen this also for my boys so that they can find Mama's recipes all together and can cook/bake them themselves. What a great idea!
Today, I received a second gift: the beautiful baking book "Dutch Pastry" by Cees Holtkamp and Jonah Freud. This is my very first Dutch recipe book and I liked it straight away. It contains sweet and savoury recipes. The style is very clean and minimalistic, but still pleasing. I love the photographs and the clear overview. My kids decided that the first recipe, we're going to try will be classic Dutch Poffertjes. Yummy!
I like the fact that my Santa wrote an explanation why they have chosen it to every present :-)
Thank you so much for these lovely gifts, Santa!
