I didn't give my Japan exchange friend much to go since I didn't have any specific things from Japanese culture to list as interests; however, my gifter did an amazing job picking out something interesting.
I was given a copy of the movie Grave of Fireflies "based on the 1967 semi-autobiographical short story of the same name by Akiyuki Nosaka" and some candies which I was told I need to eat while I watch the movie. I'm very curious about the how the candy connects to the movie and can't wait for a chance sit down and watch it.
