My hometown giftee messaged me to inform me that there were two packages in the mail for me, and they were meant to be received together. I got one before a long weekend but alas, the other was late and I had to wait. This gift was ABSOLUTELY WORTH WAITING FOR!
The delayed package was a visitor's guide for Columbus, and my gifter had made it into a personalized scrapbook for me. It was incredibly fun to look through and see all their notes about various attractions, and the brochures, stickers, and postcards they included.
In the package they revealed that they were, in fact, my penpal match from a previous exchange! I loved the use of sticky notes to hide "spoilers." I actually laughed out loud when I opened the card. The gift included a bottle of Old Spice (from their other hometown!), a gift card to Jenni's ice cream (Los Angeles is MY hometown!), and a hand-poured candle crafted to my own personal taste in smells: tobacco, leather, and shaving cream. Absolutely STELLAR.
This was a highly personal gift with so much thought put into it and I was genuinely touched to receive it. Thank you so much!
