Fun garden gifts!

The first gift I received is a plant called a ZZ plant that is very hard to kill (I kill a lot of house plants...) and so far I haven't killed it! Of course I've only had it for about a week... Still, I shall try to keep my new plant alive. It's really pretty, and apparently it might flower if I don't kill it.

Today I received the rest of my gift, nicely packed in a box decorated with a GG sticker. Inside were some lovely gifts. I got a nice kit of canning supplies I'm not entirely sure how to use them, but that's okay as there is also a book about canning for beginners. This will be great, as we tend to get a large harvest from our garden every year and it would be nice to properly preserve some of it for winter. We also got a nice variety of arm sleeve things to wear while working in the garden. My youngest has already claimed the green ones and has been wearing them since they arrived. There are enough pairs for everyone to have one, and we'll still have a spare set for when one of the kids inevitably loses a pair.

There was also a lovely hand written letter included with additional tips for preserving our harvest.
