A fantastic Gifter, and a sparkly/flowery Colors Day!

If I didn’t know better, I’d say my Gifter knows me personally! I’m amazed at their ability to go “off-script” and absolutely nail my preferences!

I received a “rainbow” of gemstones: red jasper, goldstone, calcite, adventurine, howlite, blue goldstone, and amethyst. (I absolutely love goldstone of any variety. All the sparkles!)

I also received two books, named after flowers that are also colors: The Rose Code by Kate Quinn and Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly.

How did my Gifter know that I’d recently read (and loved) The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn and was hoping to read another one of her books? In their letter, my Gifter let me know that historical fiction is also one of their favorites, so I know these will be great! In addition to their coordinating names and settings, the burgandy/cream on the spines matches perfectly and they’re going to look great on my shelf together.
