You would think that after marathoning games every year for the past 8 years I would have thought to start my Stollery Children's Hospital Extra-Life fundraisers earlier in the year in past years too, but this is honestly the first year that I've opened my fundraiser this early. And I'm very thankful too. When my kid was born they were born premature and the Stollery Children's Hospital was super helpful to me and my family during this stressful period in our lives. Before that and since then, many kids in my life (including mine) have benefitted from this top-notch hospital in my area of the world. The Stollery Children's Hospital serves all of Northern Alberta (and occasionally beyond). We are so fortunate that it is here to help. So thank you so much to my gifter for this great donation to get things rolling so to speak. All of the health system has been under great strain in recent years and support for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals go a long way toward providing the creature comforts that make a hospital stay bearable for children and their families.
