I sobbed.

When I told my gifter that my favorite show is Dear World, I didn’t expect anything from it. There’s not a whole lot out there, and the show itself is a little obscure. So when this lovely notebook came in the mail, I just cried. When I used to do musical theater, Dear World was the first show I ever had lines in. One of the showrunners was someone near and dear to me, and they died tragically not long after we closed. Many of my best theater memories are rehearsals and cast gatherings with them there, and it just takes me back to when I was part of such a magical production and when I was first in a space with this human and others who made me feel for the first time like I could fully be myself. It’s been a favorite ever since, and I can’t wait to use (or not use - it’s almost too lovely) this notebook.

And of course, the Beetlejuice quote is going on my wall right next to my Beetlejuice playbills and other memorabilia.
