I missed the Hometown exchange because I was inbetween an international move. Having arrived at my new country and home, still not quite happy here, I got a notification that my gift had shipped. Thanks a lot dear Santa for sending it last minute so it would arrive at my new home. And it did! It arrived yesterday afternoon, and ended up in a pile of still not unpacked boxes. Today I finally opened it, and I'm so enormously happy with my gift!

There are lots of very unique snacks from Hawaii, some with spices I've never heard of (Mango with plum powder! I really need to try it, and I will), a tea that I'm currently drinking from my fairytale mug. When I opened the pack I sat in a fragrant cloud of wonderful mint! But the whole tea, and especially the mamaki is totally amazing! Lots of other things I can only describe as sounding very tropical. I'm currently eating a few of the rice and soy sauce snacks, which go so well together with the tea. A postcard from Hawaii! Oh I wish I could visit the volcano! Maybe one day. And an absolutely lovely letter from Santa.

edit: I'm eating one of the mango and plum powder slices now. Oh wow! Marvelous!
