This was by far the most generous Santa I’ve ever been matched with. She sent me several gifts that fit everything I wrote in my preferences, and even included toys for my cats. I first received three packages that had two books, cat toys, and a set of teas. Both books are right up my alley, as I enjoy reading historical fiction, and I’m looking forward to reading both Orphan Trains and A Gentleman In Moscow. Orphan Trains has actually been on my to-read list! The bag lady teas are really cool, and I love all the different quotes on them. One of my favorites is “Always read stuff that makes you look good if you die in the middle of it” By Pj Orourke. Quite a few of the quotes made me smile. Then the catnip fish were a big hit with my cat, Cleo. She loved them, and is still cuddling with them as I write this. Jiji, my other cat, is very picky with toys, and she only played with it for a few seconds before running off somewhere else. She seemed to like it, though.

I thought that was it, and would have been plenty to make me happy, but I noticed my Santa marked shipped, and let me know I had two more packages on the way! Well, two days later I received another package. This time it was a Bean box! (Insert excited face here) filled with four different coffees, which all sound really good, and four kinds of biscotti, and one piece of Mexican hot chocolate. What my Santa didn’t know is I love biscotti with coffee, or as a stand alone snack. I had the almond biscotti this morning with my caramel brûlée latte, and it was delicious! It was one of the best biscotti I’ve tried. The Mexican hot chocolate was good, but definitely had a kick to it near the end. I had to eat some extra chocolate to tone down the spice, lol. This gift set was so wonderful, and I can’t wait to try all the coffee and other biscotti.

The following day I received the final package, and it really made me smile. She sent me an Animal Crossing mini backpack! It has storage for both the Switch and an adapter so I can play on the go. I’m really looking forward to taking this with me when I can travel again. Thank you so, so much, Santa! You really surprised me, and I can’t thank you enough.
