I didn't receive anything from my original Santa. I fully understand: these are testing times and unexpected things might come up. I think I didn't receive a gift twice before. That's life. So I was extra surprised when I suddenly received a message via Redditgift, which was not related tot he ongoing exchange! I was rematched!!! O.O

And my dear Santa really, really delivered. I had a couple of new year resolutions: drop the waiting for new job boredom and start cooking fresh food again. Continue working on a more sustainable lifestyle, spend more time walking, and my Santa delivered on all three.

Santa sent me a cookbook with simple, quick recipes for busy workdays. I've seen a lot of interesting recipes in there already, and those are easy to adjust to vegetarian food or into something a lot more complex if I so wish. Perfect: a book that not only helps on workdays, but also inspires.

And a bamboo cutlery set for hiking and traveling. What makes this so nice is that it's not a combined fork/knife like so many hiking sets but separate, lightweight and sustainable pieces. I'm especially happy about the chopsticks (I'd eat pretty much everything with chopsticks) and the bamboo straw, because every trip needs a lovely drink. There's a bamboo toothbrush in the pack as well.

Wow, what a fab gift from a totally unexpected Santa: sustainable, cooking and hiking. Thanks a lot!
