I've been trying to write a thank you for my Santa all day already but gave up every time again as I just don't know how to thank my Santa for such a massive, generous gift!

I was following the tracker and saw that a 6kg parcel was travelling here. Waiting for surgery I finally accepted it and groaned a bit in pain. 6kg! That must have cost a fortune to send!

So I opened the parcel and found a massive amount of gifts, all wrapped up nicely, and a note that stated to only read it after unpacking. I sat down on the floor and started to unpack after marvelling at the excellent packaging skills of my Santa.

There were 5 pocket books that would have made a fantastic gift already, but this was only the start. The Mythos book by Stephen Fry has been on my wishlist for ages, and I'll bring it along on my summer vacation. A proper book for a science geek as me, about origin and creation in a psychological and philosophical way. I think. This seems to be totally up my alley! Plus my Santa has been stalking my profile and found out I'll be going to Tokyo and gifted me a travel guide, a phrase book and a Japanese course! I always love to learn something new, and this is perfect. Thanks dear Santa.

I would have been completely humbled if this was the bottom of the parcel, but it just went on and on!

There were two adult colouring books and colouring pens. I wish I'd taken those along to hospital as I really could have needed them there to kill time. I love colouring books :) Two fantastic cookbooks, one for geeks (totally guilty as charged!) and AN Ottolenghi book! I can't wait to be fit again to cook a few dishes from both. It all looks so delicious!

And then finally sanding paper and a few old tools. I wrote that I bought a guitar body that I want to turn into my guitar, and Santa absolutely delivered! Santa's account on going to the hardware store and trying to chose the right sandpaper sounded so funny, and I can totally relate as I would have done the same to be honest. Plus a very high precision pocket scale for measuring small amounts of substances (for building/repairing projects, not otherwise)

Thanks a lot dear Santa. I really don't know what to write other than that I feel unbelievably blessed by your generosity. Thanks again. You made me a very happy girl.
