Dear Santa, I'm sorry for posting late. I was very busy over the past few days and didn't find the time for it. But here it is finally.

I'm trying to live fairly eco-friendly and I think my Santa must have fallen asleep reading my note to them as it was rather long. But no, Santa found some amazing things for me to try out and use!

There's a growing kit for my own kitchen herbs, which is fantastic as I love growing plants, and love cooking with fresh ingredients. I've not set it up yet as I'll be away on and off during this whole month. But I'll start growing from June. I'm especially excited about the mint as tea from fresh mint is so delicious.

I wrote that I love going to my local outdoor market (I think it's the biggest in the country) and Santa sent me two vegetable nets, made by themselves from old curtains! That's a fantastic dedication to recycling. There's more for the kitchen, like a measuring container for cooking rice and pasta so that I don't use too much and have odd leftovers. Brilliant.

Equally brilliant is a whiteboard notebook. I've attached it to my freezer and now I can keep stock of how much of what's inside, and actually using these things instead of buying more food. And finally a big handful of wildflower seeds to be sown somewhere in my neighbourhood. I live in a big city, and there are parks and green spots everywhere, but real nature is sadly lacking. There are lots of patches of green or soil though that are unused, which is a shame. This place could be so much more cheerful. I'll have to look up the right sowing time for these seeds and then let them go wild. I already know where: a sunny patch of otherwise unused soil near my home. I hope the flower will come up and people will enjoy them.
