This exchange was a bit tense. I decided to sign up to learn a bit more about Hinduism and diwali as I used to have many colleagues that celebrated, shared wonderful snacks but never really talked much about it.

So matching day came and I was matched with a fantastic giftee that made finding a suitable gift not too difficult to me. Matching day went, and a weekend away to see a music festival turned into holding a very unexpected job offer in a different country with a relocation date just after the gifting period ended O.O Ugh!

So I updated my preferences and informed my Santa of this, hoping it would not be too much of an inconvenience. And she was really fantastic and asked me what my last possible date in the country would be. Thanks a lot for this, dear Santa :) Still it felt a bit tense for me. I was very happy though when my gift was marked as shipped yesterday, so all will be fine in the end.

Today I finally tidied up my flat for the movers. At a certain time the doorbell rang, and I thought: yay, it's my gift already! I opened the building door... and then nothing happened. False alarm. When I left my flat though I found a parcel at my door! Turned out it wasn't a false alarm after all!

Inside I found a lovely yellow/red light chain that I'll use in my new flat! Yellow, red and orange actually are my favourite colour! I have a lot of decoration in those colours, and these lights will fit so perfectly :) Also I found several packs of incense sticks. I love incense sticks! This all will really turn my new flat into a home very quickly! I also found a few postcards and a ganesh sticker. And of course orange candles!

Thanks a lot dear Santa! This gift is just perfect. It's colourful, it's right on the theme, and it's small enough to take along with me. I will bring the chain in my suitcase to decorate the room I'll live in until my furniture arrives in my new home. Thanks again. It's wonderful :) I'm sure I will remember this exchange for a long time!
