Ok, this is a long story. I had a bit of bad luck sending and receiving parcels lately. I sent one parcel to the US and followed it on the tracker. It arrived at the export hub quickly, and then the tracker didn't update for a week. I contacted the shipping company who didn't know what was going on. A week later the parcel was finally located inside that hub and I was promised it would be sent on. But instead it arrived at my address again!

Second time unlucky: I was expecting a 24h parcel from down south. I followed it on the tracker (yea, I really shouldn't) and saw that it arrived at the national hub near London. Then it went on to travel up north, only to arrive back at the national hub again and nothing happened for another day. I phone the shipping company and they were uncertain (again). A while later I was phone back that it had arrived at the delivery depot and would be delivered that Saturday. At my work address. Oh, ok. As I really needed this item I drove to the office to wait for it. But no parcel arrived. After some more phone calls I was told that my delivery was not on the van for all sorts of strange reasons. So just before closer time of the delivery depot I managed to get there and pick it up myself.

Long story, so where does that fit in? I followed the tracker and saw the parcel travel from Austria to Germany - and which point the tracker said: arrived at final destination. So yes, you can imagine I was somewhat nervous and asked my dear Santas if something was gone wrong. But in the end the parcel moved on, and arrived here this morning.

Now it was very hot the past week, and I was really nervous that I'd get a lump of chocolate with bits of packaging sticking out. Something clearly had leaked (see photo) but as it turned out only some Kinder chocolates lost a few calories :)

So, it's a small parcel, full to the rim with wonderful Austrian chocolate goodness!

There's two blocks of organic local milk chocolate, high cocoa content just the way I love it! One with mango, and the other one with wild meadow flowers and herbs! I'm especially curious about that one as I never had such a chocolate.

Then there's a big box of organic fruity pralines, which look really delicious. They come in a really nice box, and have survived the hot weather!

And more organic chocolate: a mildly dark chocolate with forest berries with vanilla. I think I will eat this one first as it smells absolulutely delicious.

And now the wonderful, down memory lane chocolate: a big pack of Duplo (I love Duplo and have not found it anywhere here). It's one of those chocolate bars that are so deeply satisfying as they aren't as sweet as most. A very big handful of Kinder bars (those have leaked) and Milkyway Crispy rolls. I've never tried those before :)

Dear Santas, the both of you: you've made me very, very happy with this wonderful selection of chocolate. Thank you very much. I will enjoy the chocolate over the coming days and weeks and think of this great exchange.
