Dear Santa,

Let me start by saying that I've been watching the tracker for days to see that nothing was happening. But once the parcel arrived in the country all of a sudden it also arrived here within 24 hours. But of course I had done something with my back and was sitting at home waiting for my appointment with a physiotherapist for a massage - while the parcel had been delivered to my work address. So today I was finally able to pick it up.

And wow, thank you very much for this lovely present! It's perfect!

There is a mortar and pestle, something that was dearly missing from my kitchen, two lovely colourful coasters, yumminess in tins (I've not decided yet if I just snack them or cook something with them), a Portuguese cookbook from which my Santa recommended a few recipes. I must say that the soups and rice dishes look particularly fantastic, and I will certainly try those. I'm not sure I can easily get pigs' ears or trotters, but I'll try :) And yes, I always have space for such a book, dear Santa.

There's also a huge pack of what looks like fluffy, very sweet cooking, and.. The Ovos Moles de Aveiros! Wow, I don't think I've ever eaten something so downright tasty! My Santa dared me to not eat all at once, and it is very, very difficult indeed! Sweat, but not overly sweat, very tasty, a very interesting texture.. I think I could eat those every day.

I was hoping for a local present and some snacks, and my Santa really delivered. This is the perfect Secret Santa gift for me. I was thinking about spending my vacation in the East this year, but just seeing all these fantastic snacks and recipes, I am considering Portugal now.
