Addition: First recipe from the book cooked. A red curry chicken and noodle dish. I just happen to have everything in the fridge for this recipe.

Oh my.. my Awesome Packaging Santa really is the most generous, awesome Santa in the world.

I wasn't quite sure what to put in my preferences for this exchange as it's so big in scope and got so confused in the end that I forgot to add anything about the packaging. But fortunately my dear Santa asked, and gave me the most wonderfully packed present ever.

But not only that. My dear Santa also did a lot of research to pack the biggest amount of geology puns ever into a card, and added a fantastic cartoon to it. Santa also bought some fantastic outdoor equipment for me. But more of that later.

First the packaging. A huge, heavy box was handed to me by the receptionist at work. Inside was a simply lovely autumnal wrapping with leaves, shiny red paper and transparent foil. Just lovely. The leaves are now on a side table in my living room, spreading some autumn love there. Inside the box I found... glittery plastic. Having already spread some of it around my desk I decided to not continue unpacking, but to do so at home. Besides, my colleagues were hoping for something delicious to eat.

So of course I went home a bit earlier to look at what's inside the box. Inside the box I found the oh so funny geology puns card (thanks so much for it! I had to laugh so hard. And the drawing is fantastic!). I started with the smallest package and found a multi-outdoor dining tool! Basically a combined foldable tin opener, fork and spoon. Wow, exactly what I was looking for! This will be perfect for my hikes that require a bit more nom than just a sandwich! The big package turned out to be a fantastic thermos flask! While I'm out and about a lot I don't have one, which is quite shocking. Now I can bring hot water along on day hike, hydrate my own food, or even bring a soup. I can't wait for the end of winter (I know....) as I so want to visit Ben Nevis.

Then there was a book. A cook book! I told my Santa that I love cooking, and I don't have a Thai cookbook yet! Thanks so much for mentioning massaman curry! I love eating it in southern Thailand. Fortunately I have shrimp paste at home and can get the rest of the ingredients easily. This will be the first. This is perfect! Santa really knows me! The fourth item... squeeeee! A big slice of a beautiful blue geode that Santa bought ages ago in France. It's a recycled geode :) and I think it's agate and quartz. It's so beautiful. Thanks a lot dear Santa. Finally there was a lovely letter explaining everything. And a lot more glitter :D

Dear Santa, I am so happy to have you as my Santa. You are very generous, thought about this gift, wrote some fantastic cards, and wrapped everything up so beautifully. Thanks a love dear Santa. I feel extremely spoiled :)
